Membership of ECMTF is open to all registered non-profit associations in Europe, who are dedicated to the support and assistance of people affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, and uphold the aims of ECMTF.
What are the benefits?
Working together benefits everyone. The CMT community has been somewhat left behind when it comes to raising awareness, research, policy making and healthcare, and by coming together, we can have have a much stronger voice, which ultimately will benefit the people across Europe who are affected by CMT.
Our General Assemblies will give member organisations a chance to network and learn from each other, and guidance of sharing best practice.
We will also begin to develop a Europe-wide database of medical professionals, who are interested in research into CMT and/or who have a particular clinical interest in CMT.
There are two categories of membership:
- Full Members
- Friends of ECMTF
Full members must be a legally constituted patient organisation, following the laws and customs of its country of origin. They will be providing information and support to people affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in their country. They will be entitled to have one representative to receive all contacts from ECMTF, who will be able to vote at General Assemblies, and that representative may also choose to apply to become a member of the Board of ECMTF.
Membership costs 250 Euros for one year. Please download the membership form from here:
If you would like to pay online, you can use the button below, otherwise we will send you a PayPal Invoice on receipt of the membership form.
Friends of ECMTF are individuals or organisations who have a particular interest in our work, and are happy to contribute to furthering the aims and objectives of ECMTF or of the Founding Member organisations. They do not have a vote but can attend the General Assembly as an observer.
Memberhip costs 50 Euros per year.
