The European CMT Federation is delighted to officially welcome Qianlixing CMT Support Home as our newest Associate Member. This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening the global network of Charcot-Marie-Tooth patient advocacy groups, bridging Europe with the vast CMT community in China.
About Qianlixing CMT Support Home
Founded in 2023 by Luo Yuping, a patient living with CMT1E, the organization has experienced rapid growth in a short period. The name “Qianlixing” translates to “travel for a thousand miles,” symbolizing a hopeful vision for the life journey of every patient—a sentiment that resonates deeply with the Federation’s mission.
Despite being a young organization, Qianlixing has already established a substantial network, connecting over 3,700 patients and 1,600 families across China. Leveraging digital platforms such as WeChat, the group facilitates instant communication, information sharing, and community support, while also helping scientific researchers quickly target and recruit patients for studies.
Mission and Activities
Qianlixing is dedicated to promoting the development of the CMT community in China. Their primary objectives include:
- Raising Awareness: Increasing the visibility of CMT among the general public and healthcare professionals.
- Improving Diagnosis: Assisting patients in navigating the healthcare system to receive accurate diagnoses.
- Patient Education: Providing up-to-date medical knowledge to empower families.
Most recently, in September 2025, the organization held a significant patient meeting and early diagnosis mobilization plan in Beijing, titled “Gathering Global Strength, Lighting Up the Light of Life.”
The Federation looks forward to supporting Qianlixing in their efforts to keep pace with world-leading CMT medical knowledge and research.
