The European CMT Federation (ECMTF) welcomes the addition of Muskelsvindfonden, the Danish Muscular Dystrophy Association, to its network.
The organization aims to promote knowledge sharing, community building, and empowerment. Furthermore, it strengthens advocacy for systemic change and supports research initiatives as medical treatments become a realistic prospect. Muskelsvindfonden creates inclusive meeting places by operating Musholm, an accessible conference and holiday center. The association also collaborates closely with the state-funded Rehabilitation Center for Neuromuscular Diseases (RCFM) to bridge patient perspectives with research.
The ECMTF looks forward to this partnership to advance international collaboration, knowledge sharing, and research engagement across borders. Individuals living with a neuromuscular disease, their families, researchers, and healthcare professionals are welcome to join and collaborate with the association.
